Training experience.

All instructors have Class A CDL licenses and excellent clean driving records. Our training staff also includes Transportation Safety Specialist. They are CVSA Certified Inspectors who perform level one vehicle inspections.

All behind the wheel
instruction is done one
to one.

We keep our classroom
sizes small, this enables our
students to get the attention
they deserve.

What does CDL
Instruction Involve

Our CDL instruction begins in the classroom. The first thing our students will learn, is the endorsements they need, for the license they wish to obtain. We teach this through booklets, and teacher interaction, Once students complete their endorsement training, they are then ready to take the endorsements test at their local D.O.T. test site.

After receiving their endorsements, students continue their classroom instruction. In order to provide a good learning experience for our students we keep our class sizes small. There are never more then 12 students per class. In the classroom our students will learn all aspects of truck operation, and preventive maintenance. Lab instruction is combined with classroom instruction, to give students hands on training with a truck. Range and Driving instruction follow classroom/ lab training. Range instruction teaches students skills such as coupling and uncoupling, and backing. Driving instruction is done one on one. Many truck driving schools have two or three students in the cab of a truck, per one instructor during driving sessions. The 40 hours drive time, that should be allotted to each individual is often shared between the group. CTS is different, for we only allow one student in the truck at a time with one instructor. We give each student a full 40 hours of driving time with an instructor.
